Norwegians Marry in Grand Cayman

Grand Cayman is a melting pot of people from all over the world. It seems like this week I have married an inordinate number of international couples, today it was Scandinavia's turn as I officiated at the marriage of a couple from Norway.

Visiting with friends, this couple chose to celebrate their nuptials on the patio of their friend's South Church Street residence, overlooking George Town harbour. You can see the last of today's cruise ships heading out to sea in the distance.
Here's the evidence. They will likely have to get an Apostille affixed to their Registered Marriage Certificate in order to file their marriage with their public records office in Norway.

Here the happy couple pose with their good friends, and then let the celebration begin!

Special Cayman Wedding for Connecticut Couple

Once they knew the big secret, these guys were delighted for the Groom (in white) and happy about the wedding ceremony which took place on the pier at the Reef Resort in East End.

Part of the wedding ceremony this couple chose says " Marriage is an outward symbol of an inward union of hearts, a union created by friendship, trust, respect and love." I thought these words rang true for this couple who were so obviously happy.

The day every mother and daughter looks forward to

We're all together again, in the Cayman Islands !

First you link your arms, then sip, then make a wish...then kiss!

The whole group pose with Joy

The whole group jump with Joy

Looking at the cork, a souvenir of the first drink together as husband and wife, with the date and a Cayman quarter, one of our British traditions.

Such a happy occasion, in a very special spot.

Seven Mile Beach Cruise Wedding for Port Richey Couple

This Port Richey, Fl were traveling on a cruise with a family group and planned to be married the day they were in Grand Cayman. Traveling with a group is no problem with our new Cruise Wedding Package with transportation arranged. I chose Blue Water Beach because of its amenities, and the fact that it is well maintained and clean, while being relatively quiet for a public beach.

Married! And here is the Certificate to prove it.

I really liked her simple bouquet of three white roses and baby's breath

A bottled of chilled champagne, de rigeur for a hot morning at the beach

Kissing and toasting under the coconut trees.

The whole group got into the act

I dubbed these "the kissing couple" because so many of their photos catch a kiss

This is the very last bit of Seven Mile Beach, after the pier it gets rocky

Private Beach Wedding for Japanese Bride

Today, Ash Wednesday is a Public Holiday in the Cayman Islands so our office was closed. It was a busy day for me however, since I had three weddings.

The first was a Cruise Wedding for a Canadian couple whose photos from Mary Molly Hydes beach I will post in a few days. The second was a couple from Bali, Indonesia, and the wedding below was the third for the day.

This Groom lives and works in Cayman, and the Bride is from Japan. The wedding took place at one of the prettiest spots in Cayman, Beach Bay which is a private beach, connected to these residences.
I was excited about this wedding because I had not been to this particular spot since I was a teenager. After a lot of damage to trees and homes in 2004 during Hurricane Ivan, the beach appears to have recovered.
The new couple with their witnesses and a guest. The gentleman on the right told me he had been married by my dad, Vernon Jackson OBE, JP. My mom and dad, Vernon and Francine Jackson have been officiating at weddings for 25 years. Between them they have married almost 6000 couples in this period.

The beautiful bride and happy groom prepare to welcome their guests for the post-wedding celebration. Flowers by Celebrations. Ceremony by Joy of Weddings for Simply Weddings, these unofficial photos taken by my Olympus FE-370.

There are 10 Public Holidays per annum in Cayman. If you wish to be married on a Public Holiday you should contact me early so that special arrangements can be made with the marriage bureau to get your Special Marriage License. Residents can be married on Public Holidays, once their Banns of marriage have been published for 7 clear days. Call me (345)5256551m or email me at mywedding@candw.ky. Seven Mile Beach Wedding Blessing for St Matthew's Faculty

This fine young couple from St Matthew's University wanted a sunset ceremony on Seven Mile Beach, Grand Cayman. Since they are originally from India, I wrote them a special ceremony with vows and a blessing which echoed the Seven Blessings of a Hindu wedding ceremony.

I knew this shot taken in the garden before the wedding would be stunning because of the contrast with the red bouganvilla and her white wedding dress.

I brought a little piece of India to the celebration. Elephants are said to bestow prosperity on the couple ( the trunk must always be raised) My sister-in-law brought me this little fellow from Mumbai.
This couple didn't mind getting bare-foot either.

Posing with Joy and their witnesses.

I liked the idea of the sail boat in the distance for this tranquil scene at the end of the day.

"May you be blessed with an abundance of resources and comforts, and be helpful to one another in all ways. May you continue to build a strong relationship and to complement one another May you be blessed with prosperity and riches on all levels May you be eternally happy May you be blessed with a happy family life May you live in perfect harmony, true to your personal values and your joint promises May you always be the best of friends May you go your way together as husband and wife and continue to love one another for ever."

Grand Cayman Sunset Wedding Vow Renewal

As I have said on this blog before, I really enjoy doing wedding vow renewals. In the last couple of years many more couples are choosing this option while vacationing in Grand Cayman. This couple from Trinity Fl left their 4 children behind for a week at Casa Caribe, which is mid-Seven Mile Beach, the prettiest part of this spectacular beach in my opinion.
While enjoying their second honeymoon, they also took the opportunity to renew their wedding vows after 13 years of marriage.

Signing the Wedding Vow Renewal Certificate each couple are given

Posing with Joy after the ceremony

This couple chose to exchange new rings, but you can also choose to have your original rings re-blessed.
After the ceremony and pictures they went to one of our favourite restaurants "Eduardo's" which is within walking distance of their condominium. Grand Cayman has over 200 great restaurants and you can see locations, menus and prices at "Cayman Restaurant Guide".

Make your Cayman vacation even more special, and get the photos to prove it. Call me today for your affordable Wedding Vow Renewal package, (345) 5256551

Fantastic Cayman Sunset Wedding for Tampa Couple

Part of my work as a wedding celebrant and planner is to help couples get the services to make their wedding day really special. One of the things I do is to match the couple with their photographer. Sometimes , having seen a photographer's work on this blog a couple will ask for a photographer by name. Many times I have seen how certain couples and certain photographers just seem to click, resulting in some fantastic images. This wedding was one of those times.

This couple visiting from Tampa were on a business trip at the Ritz Carlton and took the opportunity to plan their wedding, and request Luis Vallecillo as their photographer.

I thought Luis really outdid himself on the composition of these shots.

Since a picture speaks a thousand words. there's not really much to say but that this was an exceptionally lovely event, which I think we all enjoyed.

Cayman Islands Beach Wedding for US Marine

This US Marine and his lady love from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina were in town for the week-end and strolled down the beach to meet me for their early morning wedding last Saturday. It was a beautiful day to be on the beach, and of course I set up in my favourite spot at Governor's Beach. here they are saying their vows under the natural arch.

This was a fun wedding, which we all enjoyed and the photographer got many fantastic shots.

The bride poses in among the sea-grape trees.
